News: Babu writes to Prime Minister

imageTelugu Desam party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday urged Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to instruct research organizations in the country to undertake studies for identifying suitable measures to control Chikungunya.

In a letter to the Prime Minister, Naidu said the present condition in the State required declaration of health emergency. He expressed apprehension that entire country would be engulfed with Chikungunya. Already viral fevers are prevalent in neighbours Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra.

The TDP will organise medicals camp at Chikungunya-affected places under NTR Memorial Trust. Naidu will chalk out an action plan tomorrow after discussing the matter with NGOs and doctors.
